A better self

It seems as though I’m often the version of myself that I like the least.

If I know that to be the truth, then why can’t (don’t?) I change it? I don’t know.

A few things I would like to be:
  • More organized
  • More caring
  • Slower to bursts of frustration
  • Quicker to accomplish things on schedule
  • More social

But mostly I would like to be friendlier. Or maybe it’s sweeter? Maybe it’s just being a better person. Whatever it is, I think it would show itself as slowing down. Listening more. And paying more attention to others than to the thoughts and plans in my own head.
